Overview
If you are an existing Xero user wanting to migrate to Easy Business App, you can follow the steps below.
We don't currently have a migration tool, but we plan to launch one in 2025.
There are a couple of steps that it makes sense for your bookkeeper or accountant to perform to ensure that you get started on the right foot. We're more than happy to help both you (and them!) out with this, so do reach out to our support team via live chat, email or phone with any questions you may have.
Migrating to Easy Business App
- Connect your bank account(s) in Easy Cashflow. Learn more in Linking & Unlinking Bank Accounts in Easy Cashflow.
- Re-create any current Customers in Easy Invoicing. Learn more in Getting Started with Easy Invoicing. You don't need to re-create any old Customer records, although you can do so if you wish.
- If you have any outstanding invoices you can either re-create these in Easy Business App (this is easier if it's only a few, smaller invoices), or ask your accountant to create a journal to the "Manual Accounts Receivable" account for the total of the outstanding amount.
- If you are migrating mid-year you will need to enter a special Journal to move across your account balances from Xero (you can run a Trial Balance report in Xero to get these figures). This ensures your expense and income totals are up-to-date. This is a one-time task best performed by your accountant. They can learn more in Easy Business App for Accountants.
- If you have employees and used Payroll in Xero, see the article How to Migrate Payroll Data from Xero to Easy Business App.
- Note that you do not have to contact the ATO at any stage when migrating users to Easy Payslip, as we handle all the necessary communications via the first STP submission.
