If you sign up as an Accountant/Advisor/Bookkeeper user, you will have access to a personal Demonstration Organisation pre-populated with dummy data. This organisation is a great place to explore all the different functions of Easy Business App.
No data will be lodged, sent, emailed, or submitted from the demo org, so you can really play around with all the features and learn how things work.
You can feel free to explore in this organisation, creating, editing and deleting data to become familiar with the system. It's also a great place to "try things out", like more complicated payslips to simulate tax calculations.
Demo Organisations are currently only available to Advisors using the Advisor Portal. We are reviewing this and may make them more widely available to business owners in the future!
You can easily identify if you are in a demonstration organisation by the banner across the top of the screen:

Data available in demonstration organisations
Demo organisations contain dummy data including:
- Payruns and payslips (with STP lodged)
- Invoices
- Manually recorded invoice payments
- Manually recorded expense items
- Bank transactions (for two dummy linked bank accounts)
Functionality restrictions in demonstration organisations
Certain key functionality is disabled in the demonstration organisation. This means you can play around with them and do all the steps, but it will not result in actual data being lodged or emails/invoices sent:
- Sending emails (payslips, quotes, invoices) - nothing will be sent
- Lodging STP - Nothing will be sent the ATO
- Inviting new members to the demo org
- Billing
- Stripe invoice payment functionality.

Can I create new data in the demonstration organisation?
Yes, you absolutely can. You can use all the app functionality to create, edit and delete employees, payslips, quotes, invoices, expense items, income items and change organisation settings.
Will other people see any data I enter?
No. Your demonstration organisation is completely yours. Think of it as your own playground to safely explore the functionality of the app.
I'm not an accountant, can I have access to a demonstration organisation?
Not at this time, although this is something we are actively reviewing.
Is it safe to use?
Yes. We have disabled critical functionality - so, for example, it is impossible to send an email from a dummy organisation, or lodge an STP file. You can feel safe to explore and experiment!
Can I delete it?
Yes, you can delete it if you no longer wish to see it in your Advisor Portal. Simply click the delete button.
I deleted it by mistake, can I recover it? Or is there a way to reset the data in the dummy org?
Yes! Click on "Add New Client" and you'll see some small text and a button at the bottom of the screen that will let you recover your deleted demonstration organisation in one click! This will have reset the dummy data to its default state. Useful if you want a "clean" organisation to play around in!
