Overview
Sometimes when submitting a Super Payment you will see one or more warnings.
A warning indicates there is some missing information in a contribution.
A warning will not stop you making the contribution, however fixing the warning will prevent the same warning appearing again in future and ensure that the contribution will be received and processed correctly by the employee's super fund.
An example warning screen is shown below:
Common Warnings
Employee Birthdate
Ensure the year is set correctly for your employee's birthdate in their employee record.
Missing TFN
While a Tax File Number (TFN) is not absolutely required for a super contribution to be made, it may cause a problem for the receiving super fund when matching contributions in their systems.
Ensure the employee's TFN is added in their Employee record in the Taxes section.
If the employee has a pending TFN, or one is not required for other reasons, you may disregard this warning.
