Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: What are the processing times for Direct Debit via Beam?
A: Beam will process direct debit payments within 5 business days, so inside the required payment processing times for Payday Super (which is within 7 working days from the day after wages are paid).
Remember you can use a Member Verification Request (MVR) for new employees to confirm the fund is able to receive contributions; also, remember that for new employees you have 20 working days to send their first super contribution, and if an employee informs you of a change in super fund, you also have 20 working days to make the first payment to the new fund too. These two factors ensure that for most businesses, the Direct Debit timelines present no problems to ensuring your Payday Super compliance. Q: Can I pay with BPay sometimes, and Direct Debit other times?
