The Employee Superannuation screen contains information that helps Payroll calculate the correct Superannuation amount for your employee's payslips. This information is contained in your employee's Super Choice Form. The data is also used by the Super function to create super contributions and Super Stream reports.
You can find information about your employer super obligations on the ATO Website, and this form can now be filled in online by your employee in their MYGOV account. It should then be printed and provided to you as their employer.
Fund Details - Complete the details of your employee's nominated super fund. You can use the Super Fund Lookup to find/double-check the details you need (ABN, USI). The employee will have provided their own Membership No.
Alternatively, if they have chosen to register in your Employer Default Super Fund, you may select this option from the drop-down.
For employee's with a Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF), complete all the fields required, including the bank account to make the payment to.
Super Guarantee Rate - A contribution that's regularly made into the employee's super fund by you to help bolster retirement savings and supplement the Age Pension. The super rate increased annually until it reached 12% by July 2025. If required, you can maintain custom super rates for employees for each financial year by clicking Use Custom Super Rates.
