RDOs/TOIL is used to keep track of extra unpaid hours of work by an employee, which can then be used as paid time off in the future.
Easy Payslip allows you to keep track of these unpaid hours each time a payslip is created. These accrued hours can then be paid out on a future payslip when RDO/TOIL leave is taken.
Here's how to use it.
1) Go to the employee record, press the 'Leave' option, press the grey toggle next to 'Time in Lieu/ RDO' to turn it on. Select a description or enter your own. This will appear on your employee's payslips. Enter a carried over balance to record hours already owed.
2) Record hours that are accrued in a pay period when creating the payslip: From the process payroll screen, above the 'Wages' you will see the field to enter the hours worked in that period.
3) To record when hours are taken, scroll down to the 'Additional Payslip Options', press 'Add Entitlements (Leave)', press 'Time in Lieu/RDO Pay', and enter the hours taken & press 'Add Item'. The amount will be calculated using the employee's base rate.
Note: Be sure to reduce the base hourly rate hours by the RDO/Time in Lieu hours you are attempting to payout.
