This section outlines the steps involved in processing Entitlement Leave payments.
What do I need to do first?
If you have a staff member entitled to any Leave options, you will first need to set this up in their Employee Record.
To do this, please refer to the Help guide 'Add an Employee, or Edit an Existing Employee'.
What do I do next?
Now that your employee has been set up for Entitlement Leave, you need to include this when using the 'Process Payroll' function.
Items to note when including Entitlement Leave in a Payslip:
- You include the 'Hours' of Leave taken in the Entitlement Section.
- Reduce their 'Base Hours' to account for any Leave Taken
For example, if your employee worked a standard 38-hour week and had 2 days of Annual Leave in that week, their base hours = 22.8 Hours (3 days) and Annual Leave hours would be 15.2 (2 days).
To process Entitlement Leave Pay:
1) Go to Payroll Home, select the dates for the payroll period & employee, then press '+ Create Payrun'
2) Scroll down to 'Additional Payslip Options' & press the '+' button in the 'Entitlements' line
Note: You will see the leave options you had activated from within the employees' profile to choose from to input into the payslip.
3) Press the leave option & enter the leave hours you would like to pay out for the employee, which will multiply by the hourly rate set above in the wages field & press 'Add Item'
Note: You will now see the leave payment added to the payslip for your employee
To add more than one entitlement option to the payslip:
1) Press the '+' button next to 'Add entitlements'
Note: You will see the remaining leave options you had activated from within the employees' profile to choose from to input into the payslip.
2) Press the leave option & enter the leave hours you would like to pay out for the employee, which will multiply by the hourly rate set above in the wages field & press 'Add Item'
Note: You will now see the second leave payment added to the payslip for your employee & can proceed to press the 'Save & Send' button & continue to the next employee.
